| Tenerife Island has two airports, one at the North and another at the South; it only depends from your vacations destiny where you have to land on and take off.
The airport in the north - Santa Cruz, La Laguna - it is located 10 km from the capital of the Tenerife Island (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and it is responsible for the most of the flights to Tenerife.
Since 1998 this airport has international flights, but the majority of the flights are national.
The Tenerife North airport receives, every year, more than 4 million passengers.
