Las Americas

Playa de Las Américas is a big, bustling tourist resort in the municipality of Arona to be found on Tenerife . It lies on the southern edge of the island. Arona covers about 82 square kilometers in area, making up about 4% of the island's total land area.

Playa de Las Americas was the party center of the Canary Islands for many years. Because of the rampant trouble that cheaply-available alcohol caused, many of the lower-scale clubs have closed and the entire resort has become more and more oriented towards higher-bracket tourists.
