The Carnaval is the most important festival in Tenerife. Santa Cruz de Tenerife being the capital of the island, it is no surprise that the biggest and wildest celebrations take place very close to San Andres. The Carnaval is a week-long affair, drawing crowds out in a bewildering array of costumes, from the casual to the classy to the crazy! There is non-stop partying from morning to night, and lots of food and drink for everyone. During Carnaval week, there are various programs of entertainment that take place.
