Visitors to Playa de Las Américas will be pleasantly surprised to take part personally in any of the many celebrations and holidays that the locals observe. The natives' Catholic heritage means that there is no shortage of yearly holidays and fiestas.

The biggest party of them all happens every year in February. This is when the Carnaval time comes to town. This is a week-long non-stop party, filled with costumed revelers, street dancing, music performers, and, of course, food, food, and more food!
