The public bus service TITSA in Tenerife is generally clean, reliable and inexpensive. The company has 500 vehicles and 1,200 workers. They have serviced approximately 50 million travelers in one year.
While in general, tourists should have no reservations about using buses in Tenerife, one is advised not to catch a bus out of Los Cristianos or Las Americas between about 4pm and 7pm.
There is a discount card which can be purchased from all stations and terminals of TITSA and many shops around Tenerife. The Bono bus card costs about €12 but saves up to 30% of the cost of transport. It also offers discounts for entry into Tenerife's museums.

Taxi services
Taxis are hard to flag down even in the busiest areas of Tenerife, particularly late at night. Tourists or businessmen who plan an evening out and want to make sure about catching a ride home after visiting a restaurant in one of the island's more remote areas are advised to take a radio taxi. In general the radio taxis are generally very reliable.
